Strategy for increasing your sales performance.

I’ve have been in the sales game for many, many years and I choose this path for numerous reasons.

It gave me options like:

Getting paid for turning up (basic salary) and earning money while i’m there (commission and bonus).

Being able to choose how much I earn at the end of the month.

Having control over my future and the things that I want.

Seeing rewards and recognition for my hardwork.

Having the thrill of achieving my objectives

and the list goes on….

What I found in the early years was, that I was working hard but not getting great rewards for my efforts.

I was following practices taught to me and offering products to clients, but it was never a comfortable sale for both myself and the client.

I found so many clients taking away information and not committing to the purchase.

Does this sound familiar?

This situation was very annoying and I was getting increasingly frustrated and demotivated when this happened.

The breakthrough came when I realised that I was asking questions but they were not the right questions.

I was offering product but not necessarily what the client needed but more what I was told to sell.

It was time for me to take a look at my sales strategy and re-visit, why I was in sales and what I wanted to achieve.

The only way, was to ask the right questions, listen more and offer the client what they needed.

This was the solution and as a result, the clients were happier because they had a person selling to them, who understood their needs completely.

I was happy because I was able to achieve the business needs in terms of sales targets and my own needs of making sales fun and every sale a different and unique experience for myself and the client.

This change mean’t, I was getting referals of guaranteed sales, a queue of clients waiting only to see me and a pay cheque to match.

Sales doesn’t have to be hard if you have the right strategy and strategy is something you can learn very easily.

Happy days.

What are you giving importance to, in your every day?

Are you giving time everyday to the things that are are really important?

Or like so many people, haven’t even thought about what is important in a long time?

Are you neglecting to take the action, that would make you happier?

I have just completed a session with a client and felt that I should share a simple tip.

Make a list of 9 things that are important to you and your life and then put that list in a place you would look at every morning, this will remind you to make sure that you give time in your every day to the things that are dear to you. It is then up to you to make the time and become a happier you.

It’s simple, just TAKE ACTION to DO the things you really want to do, and BE the person want to be and HAVE the things that we really want to have.

Have a fantastic day
